If you’re feeling stretched thin right now, like you’re doing everything you’re supposed to do but still questioning whether you’re moving in the right direction, this is for you. Feeling lost in life can show up quietly, especially when you’re balancing work, personal responsibilities, and the pull of bigger dreams. That tension can leave you feeling stuck between where you are and where you hope to be — and it’s exhausting. It’s also far more common than people admit.
Feeling lost doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It usually means you’re learning something new about yourself, your limits, or what you want next. When clarity feels far away, it’s often because you’re in the middle of growth, not because you’ve taken a wrong turn. Maya once said…
My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.

Feeling Lost Can Be a Sign You’re Growing
Feeling lost is uncomfortable, but it rarely comes out of nowhere. It often shows up when something in your life no longer fits the way it once did. Maybe your job feels heavier than it used to. Maybe your goals are changing. Maybe you want more creativity, more balance, or more meaning, but you’re not sure how to reach for it yet.
A lot of women are taught to push through discomfort without stopping to ask why it’s there. But feeling lost is often information, not failure. It’s your mind and body telling you that something needs attention, not avoidance.
Sometimes, slowing down enough to notice these signals — even in small, everyday ways — can help you reconnect with yourself before exhaustion sets in.

When Work Feels Like Too Much and You’re at Your Limit
There’s a specific moment many of us recognize: the next time you feel like you truly cannot take it anymore. Your patience is gone. Everything feels overwhelming. You start wondering if you can keep doing this at all.
Before you automatically tell yourself to push through, try this first. Pause if you can. Step away for a moment. When everything feels heavy, having one place to put your thoughts can help more than you expect — I like using this simple notebook here because it feels low-pressure and easy to come back to. Ask yourself whether you’re burned out, overstimulated, or simply in need of rest.
And yes, sometimes saying no is the right choice. Not as avoidance, but as information. It tells you something about your workload, your expectations, or your boundaries that needs to change. You don’t need to make a huge decision in that moment. You just need to listen to what your body and mind are asking for.
Balancing Responsibility While Still Making Space for Your Goals
I’m in a season of balancing real responsibilities while still holding space for long-term goals, and I’ve learned that balance doesn’t mean everything feels even all the time. Some weeks are heavier on work. Some seasons move slower than you want them to.
Small rituals matter in seasons like this, and something as simple as sitting down with a warm drink in this mug here has helped me slow down enough to breathe and reset. I focus on small steps that align with the direction I want to go. Showing up consistently matters more than having a perfect plan.
You’re allowed to build your dreams alongside your responsibilities. You don’t have to choose one or the other.
A New Year Doesn’t Require a New Version of You
Starting a new year doesn’t mean you need to reinvent yourself. Sometimes it just means shifting how you speak to yourself and how much grace you allow. Instead of focusing on everything you didn’t accomplish, it helps to notice what you carried, what you learned, and what you kept going through. In moments like this, I’ve found it helpful to keep encouragement visible — something like this affirmation jar here that offers a gentle reminder on days when motivation feels low or self-talk turns heavy.
This blog is part of how I’m entering the new year with more optimism. Not because everything is settled, but because creating, writing, and sharing with people who feel similarly has made things feel lighter and more hopeful. There’s something powerful about naming what you’re going through and realizing you’re not the only one.
You’re Not Late, You’re In Between
Being in between chapters can feel uncomfortable. You’re no longer where you started, but you’re not yet where you want to be. That space can feel uncertain, but it’s also where direction starts to take shape.
You don’t need all the answers right now. You just need permission to keep going without rushing yourself or minimizing what you’re carrying.
